The Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) -1000 was developed for manufacturing nano diamond like carbon DLC stripper foils. The process involves vaporizing a carbon target under vacumm. The laser is directed onto the target while satellites containing substrate holders encircle the target. The vaporized carbon is then deposited on the encircling substrates. The final product is DLC foil.
